In political campaigns, a precinct analysis helps campaign staff examine voting trends within a particular place. That information is then relied on to allocate resources intended to turn out the vote in favor of their candidates.

On this page, we'll show people how their vote (or lack of it!) helped elect their local leaders: city council, mayor, county council, county executive, district attorney and where those leaders have their strongest supporters.

We'll also show how how much difference one vote makes in these local elections and where voter turnout was low.

In addition to helping people see the power of their vote, our goal is to also help those interested in running for office see how they might challenge the status quo and make their own run – giving them a tool set that candidates typically have to have both money and connections to access.

The voter map data tool will include a landing page with featured findings (this page) with a seat/race search feature that let's the user see how voter behavior and historical patterns at the precinct levels affected the outcome of past elections.
